Five From the Backroom — FREE Unreleased EP

Five songs that never made it out the front door. Until now.

Five From the Backroom is a collection of five unreleased Keith and the Cockroaches tracks—the strays, troublemakers, and questionable decisions that somehow escaped the official records.

You won't find these songs on Spotify. They aren't tucked into one of the albums. They're here for the people who wandered far enough into the Cockroach Collection to find them.

Inside the transmission:

“Mr. Newspaper” — An explosive little true-crime story. Based on actual events, although the truth may have been roughed up a little on the way to the song.

“Merry Christmas (I Don't Want You)” — A Christmas song written on a dare that somehow became a fairly accurate summary of far too many relationships. Nothing says holiday cheer like emotional eviction.

“Just Like That” — A tip of the hat to the busker's life: playing the street, working the crowd, and making something happen with whatever you've got.

“Hold My Drink” — Delightfully dirty. Further explanation would only implicate us.

“It Never Rains” — Bright, upbeat, and carrying a message considerably heavier than the music lets on. One that probably should have made it onto an official release.

Five songs. Previously unreleased and unavailable anywhere else.

And the price? Nothing.

One small wrinkle from the backroom: The complete EP is too large for this store's free-download limit. So your immediate download here will be a small text file containing the private link to retrieve the actual EP. Open the file, follow the link, and the whole transmission is waiting for you there.

No catch. No shipping. No customs. No coins slipped across a suspicious backroom table. Just one extra door between you and five songs you can't get anywhere else.

A note before you download the EP: The full transmission arrives as a ZIP file. For the smoothest download and extraction, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer rather than a phone or tablet.
